What we did

Orion Consumer Goods needed a secure, user-friendly web application to help consumers verify product authenticity. Counterfeit products were damaging their brand reputation and eroding customer trust. Our task was to create a web platform where scanning, verification, and reporting counterfeit products became seamless and credible.

Research & Discovery

Nova Health’s digital presence lacked visual coherence. The website and mobile app used mismatched colors, inconsistent iconography, and a generic stock look. Patients found it difficult to trust the interface, and the design didn’t reflect the brand’s warmth or professionalism. A unified design language was needed to bridge digital trust and accessibility.

Counterfeiting was widespread, leading to lost revenue and consumer mistrust. Existing authentication methods were clunky and confusing. Customers struggled to scan codes, and the reporting mechanism was hidden behind complicated steps. Orion required a digital solution that was both highly secure and extremely easy to use, with clear instructions and minimal friction.

Studied anti-counterfeit solutions across industries (pharma, luxury goods, electronics). Conducted interviews with customers to understand scanning difficulties and trust signals. Collaborated with Orion’s security team to integrate blockchain-backed verification and tamper-proof QR codes.

Impact

The final product delivered a frictionless verification experience: Web App: One-tap scan leading to instant authenticity confirmation. Dashboard: Real-time data on verification attempts, counterfeit reports, and location analytics. Trust Design: Bold, color-coded feedback states for authenticity, with explanations in plain language. Scalability: Built modularly so new product lines could be added without redesign.
